Central Sierra Ancha Tour

About half of the Sierra Ancha sits above six thousand feet, which makes it a pine-shaded escape from a Phoenix summer without the drive up to the Mogollon Rim. I headed out for an overnight tour of the central wilderness, climbing Center Mountain to hang a hammock at the Pueblo Canyon overlook and then working along the Rim Trail to the lookout on Aztec Peak.
