Intro to Blue Range
Blue Range Primitive Area is a lovely wilderness area nestled in the far east side of Arizona, sharing many of the same elevation and vegetation as New Mexico’s Gila Wilderness. Tall, pine-covered mountains surround the Blue River, with historic and modern ranching taking advantage of the rich area. Wanting to check out this area, I decided to do a large loop, swooping from one side to the other, covering over fifty miles in three days.
