South Mazatzal Roundup

Some day hikes are longer than others, and on one warm spring day I decided to tackle a particularly lengthy combination of routes in the southern Mazatzal Wilderness. By the end of the day I had knocked out an entire section of the Arizona Trail and finished off six new trails. Thirty-five miles is now my longest dayhike, though it’s a matter of time (Grand Canyon) before that distance is challenged.
