The Park of the Mazatzals

The Park of the Mazatzal Wilderness is a stand of rare ponderosa pines that escaped the devastating wildfires from a decade ago. I head up one of the most challenging climbs in the wilderness - Rock Creek - to make a fairly simple loop that slowly extended my range into this area without venturing into the more challenging western side.
